Thanks to Mr Boniface we have our very own shop to develop financial literacy skills during Discovery Time.
This week the children have been learning to add up the cost of their goods and purchase them using $1 coins.
Silas had to pay $10 for his groceries. Cruz said he paid too much money and gave him back $1.I wonder how much money Silas gave Cruz? |
Kayden said his groceries are going to cost him $5 because the biscuits are $2 and the margarine is $3. |
The boys and girls in Room 5 love to shop!
Next week they will learn to substitute $1 for 2, 50 cent coins.
Your shop looks fantastic room 5 😀
ReplyDeleteHi Room 5. Your shop looks very cool! Do you sell chocolate? Perhaps I could come and buy some one lunch time. I really like the maths you are using to help add up how much your groceries are going to cost. Ka Pai!
ReplyDeleteHi Room 5. It Liam from Mamaku 3 here. This is a very cool thing you are doing because you get to be the shop keeper too and count up all the money you get. Ka Pai
