Room 10 comes to visit.

Room 5 were lucky to have the company of Room 10 today. They made great teachers helping the little ones with a tricky Christmas craft activity.

Thank you Room 10.

Harvesting Raspberries

The rain had stopped, the sun was out and the birds were chirping loudly.

Room 5 had to be quick to harvest the ripe raspberries before the birds helped themselves to a delicious feast.

Back to the classroom Room 5 went keen to taste raspberries and ice cream.

After eating the raspberries,Room 5 discussed how some plants have evolved and developed thorns so that animals find it difficult to eat the plant or fruit.

Next week the children are going to investigate what they can do to keep the birds away from the raspberries.

Peacocks

The boys and girls loved the messy play on Friday. They used their handprints as feathers on a peacock.
As commented by one of the children, "They look so cool."

Fireworks

Today for Fun Day Friday, the boys and girls spent some of their time making prints and turning them into a fireworks display.

We think they look beautiful!

Willa's fabulous writing

Tomorrow I am going to Christchurch to see my cousins. We might play some games and I have been excited because I get to go to Ashling's school to pick her up. She doesn't know that I am coming,so it is going to be a lucky surprise. Angela is going to pick me up when I get to Christchurch.

Mrs Drake is so proud of Willa's effort with her independent piece of writing. Look at her correct use of capital letters and full stops. She has even used several conjunctions to join ideas together, Tumeke Willa!
