Ida said the eggs are kept inside the incubator to keep them warm and moist. Her dad turns the eggs each day and checks they are healthy by shining a torch on the egg to make sure he can see veins. |
Once the chickens hatch, they are put into a big box with a heat lamp to keep them warm and some food. The chickens huddle together to keep warm and move away from each other to cool down. |
